Discontinuation of larger models

Hello,

Are the larger robots, such as the DiddyBorg, going to be replaced by the MonsterBorg and not be produced anymore? They have been out of stock for quite a while. I'm looking for a robot that has enough room to mount sensors on and I'm not sure the MonsterBorg will be large enough :)

No need to worry, we are not retiring DiddyBorg just yet!

We are actually working on an updated version of DiddyBorg as we speak which will be similar to the current version but should be an improvement for those looking to mount additional hardware to their robot :)

As for the DiddyBorg / MonsterBorg size difference I have attached an image for scale below.

Good to hear! Any idea as to when the new Diddyborg models will become available?

We are close to releasing DiddyBorg v2, but there are a few parts we are still waiting to have shipped to us before we can start assembling kits.

At a guess I would say it is probably 2-4 weeks away from releasing the new version.

When the v2 comes out will it be announced, is it something I can sign up to be notified about?

There are two ways to get a notification when DiddyBorg v2 is available:

  1. We will tweet whenever a new product is available. Follow us @Pi_Borg to be the first to know :)
  2. You can send us a message via our contact form asking to be added to our mailing list. We will email everyone shortly after the product is up on the site

A lot has been happening around here lately, but we are nearly ready :)

We have the design done but we are still waiting on a couple of parts to arrive before we can start assembling DiddyBorg v2 kits. Based on past experience I would say that we probably have a 2 week wait before everything arrives.
