Controlling LED cluster

I'm pondering making something to control some LED clusters (like http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/52mm-red-led-cluster-pd01b) which is more than the Pi can drive directly.

Would the PicoBorg be suitable for driving LED clusters like this? All the stuff I've read has been very motorcentric and I was wondering if the FETs would interfere?

Thanks

The PicoBorg should be suitable for most jobs where the Raspberry Pis GPIO pins cannot handle the necessary power requirements.

The LED cluster you have linked is within the 20V and 2A limits so it should work perfectly fine.
In fact four of them would only be 250mA x 4 = 1A, so you could even drive four from the same PicoBorg if you wanted.

Thankyou :)
