Wiring Check
Forums:
Hi PiBorg
I am just at the final part of the build.
I have a query as I recalled the concerns re the reverse board and battery polarity.
I was checking using the build instructions and also the wiring diagram on the site.
There appears to be a difference between the 2 of them, showing the positive and negative terminals swapped depending which of the instructions you look at.
Can you confirm which is the correct one, I don't want to damage the board before I start, or potentially damage the Pi
Cheers

PicoBorg Reverse connections on DiddyBorg
The battery pack should be connected so that the red wire (V+) is connected to the fourth screw terminal down when the jumper is at the top of the board, and the bllack wire (GND) is connected to the third screw terminal down.
They should be labelled V+ and GND on the underside of the PicoBorg Reverse as well.
This diagram is definitely labelled correctly for the battery and motor connections:
Could you point me at the instruction which disagrees with this so I can correct it :)

Wiring Diagrams
Hi Piborg.
I have had a look at your reply, and the 2 diagrams I was using to check the wiring.
The DiddyBorg instructions match the diagram above.
Unfortunately the Reverse board is secured on the DiddyBorg and I can't see the labels (having the Red edition I cannot see).
However I was using the diagram below which was posted on another thread. As you can see it shows the positive and negative teminals swapped on the Reverse board.

The thread is https://www.piborg.org/node/1812
and the instructions show

I hope this helps

Wiring diagram mistake
Ah, it is definitely the wrong way around in that diagram.
Thanks for letting us know, I will get someone to redo that drawing with V+ ad GND connected correctly.
