I bought my Thunderborg from Pimoroni a few weeks ago and now I really wish I had the optional lid for putting batteries above it. I only see it for sale here with the board. Is there a way to buy it without the board?

The main reason that we do not sell the ThunderBorg's battery lid separately is that the 4-pin connection between the boards is soldered in place.
If you are confident with soldering we could probably sell you just the Lid and the four pins that need to be soldered in to make the connections.
