Just a query, one of many from me.

I am still working on the DiddyBorg, adding the 4S Lipo battery etc.

I was just wondering does the reverse board work with the CM?

I am wondering as I was thinking of using one with 2 cameras. Possibly for steroscopic vision, or for forward and reverse.

I am assuming that the new camera works with the DiddyBorg with no alterations.

The PicoBorg Reverse should work with the compute module, but there is a catch.
Assuming you are using the IO Board to get at the GPIO the pin out is not quite the same as the standard Raspberry Pi one.

To connect to the IO board you will need some single pin connections to J5.
J5 is the 60 pin connector closest to the edge of the board.
These should be connected as follows:

  • PicoBorg Reverse pin 1 to IO board J5 8 (3.3v)
  • PicoBorg Reverse pin 2 to IO board J5 4 (5v - optional)
  • PicoBorg Reverse pin 3 to IO board J5 1 (SDA / GPIO 0)
  • PicoBorg Reverse pin 4 to IO board J5 56 (5v - optional)
  • PicoBorg Reverse pin 5 to IO board J5 3 (SCL / GPIO 1)
  • PicoBorg Reverse pin 6 to IO board J5 2 (GND)

The new camera should work fine with the examples.
We have not yet tested it, but we do have some new cameras on order to test this later in the week.

Thank you for the quick and comprehensive response.

Once I get the beast working, I will have a look at the CM.

Although I really need to learn to crawl before I enter a marathon.......
