All Working
Forums:
Hi PiBorg
I just thought I would let you know how things are going, and to thank you.
I have now all but completed the build on the DiddyBorg, and all appears to be fine.
The first thank you is for your patience with me and my possibly stupid questions when I was researching what product to buy. You have answered all my questions and offered helpful advice and even alternatives.
The DiddyBorg build went well, and all together as your comprehensive build instructions showed. It is obvious that a lot of thought and planning has gone into the DiddyBorg robot, as it went together so easily. I know have some concept of building machines like this and hopefully can use the knowledge with other projects I have plans for in the future.
When I did have a problem, it was just doing the final check and you answered my query quickly (and hopefully I have helped you, identify an error in one of your diagrams).
The only thing that I think is missing from the DiddyBorg is an on/off or battery isolator switch for the battery power. I have been disconnecting the battery pack. But once I sort out the LiPo battery I am planning on using, I think I will source a switch and wire it in somewhere.
I have the DiddyBorg running using your web interface, which I used to make sure it did everything as I expected.
The only comment with regard to the web ui interface I have is for future users, make sure you install all the software PiBorg has on the pages. I had several errors which were all my own fault. They were fixed as soon as I installed everything. This includes Python libraries etc.
So all I need to do now is learn how to programme, so I can create a machine life.
I guess I need to use the Reverse board software as a start. I am looking at adding the UltraBorg with Ultra-Sonic sensors and possibly servos. My plan is to have a mobile air quality sensor monitor, possibly with a display.
I suppose it will all depend on power requirements, and so on. I am hoping to go for a decent sized LiPo battery, just for the DiddyBorg alone I think a 5S battery pack will be suitable. For the other monitor sensors etc., who knows?
If any of the forum members wishes to offer there assistance I am always happy to accept assistance. I am a total noob with regard to programming.
Over all, the whole process of purchasing and building the DiddyBorg has been a pleasure, which is due to your hard work in the designing, selling and supporting it as a product.
I have no qualms about recommending PiBorg in future, and will definitely using you to buy my other bits directly.
Thank you.
Chris
